"THE MIRACLE MAN" - ARMSTRONG PAME's success story that, will inspire you.

This is the story of the miracle man of Indian administrative service belongs to zeme tribe of Naga's people of manipur. He is the first Indian administrative service officer of his tribe. He got sobriquet of -"the miracle man". After successful effort in making 100 kilometers long road connecting manipur to nagaland and assam without subsequent government help.

Education

He did his high school from small school of Tamenglong, Manipur till class 10 . After that, he moved to Shillong to study his 12th in St. Edumunds college. After that, he moves to New Delhi to hold degree in B.SC (physics) from St. Stephen college . after that, he started working on his childhood dream to being an ias officer. After long preparation, he appeared in UPSC civil service examination and successfully cracked it. and allocated IRS (Indian revenue services) in custom and central excise department. In consecutive year, he again appeared in UPSC civil service examination and allocated IAS .

Journey as an ias officer


In 2012, he was posted as SDM of Tousem sub-division of Tamenglong district of manipur state. Later, he posted as DM of Tamenglong district.

During his service, he realised and feels the plight of people and infrastructure loophole in his district. After that , he visited many villages and asked their problem. They wished only of a road that help them to connect to mainstream.

After that, he requested government to built a road but, government refused to do so due to paucity of resources. After that, he decided to raise funds on his own. and created a Facebook group to raise fund of 50 lakhs. After exhaustive effort of fund raising, he managed to add 70 lakhs rupees.

After people's labour contribution and raised fund . He created a history after building 100 kilometers long road connecting manipur to nagaland and assam. In 2012, he was nominated for CNN-IBN Indian of the year award in Public Service category.
Armstrong Pame is also the founding curator of the Global shapers Community, imphal hub under the world economic forum. He is now declared as young Global Leader of the class of 2018 as declared by the World Economic Forum.

Currently, he is working as Registrar Director, (Youth Affairs Cooperative Societies and Sports)
in manipur.

The road will reach Haflong in Assam, connecting via Tamenglong – Barak River – Azuram – Makhu River – Tousem – Phoklong – Katang Nam -Chari River – Hereilua – Laisong – Mohur.
