ANGULAR VELOCITY is the Physical quantity derived from base physical quantity defined as - " Angular Velocity is rate at which angular position of a body changes w.r.t chosen point centre "

By convention positive angular velocity indicates counterclockwise rotation why negative is clock wise.

Conventionally angular velocity as specified by Right Hand Thumb Rule.

The angular velocity of particle with respect to origin is Defined by perpendicular component of velocity vector v.
